"...Are we starting to come full circle to the reality that we can no longer trust big agriculture or our food industry for responsible policies and procurement? Last month the EPA let Monsanto raise the allowable concentrations of glyphosate on food crops, animal feed, and edible oils. The new regulation lets farmers use more of the chemical, which is the active ingredient in the herbicide Roundup. Oilseed crops such as canola, soy, sunflower, flax and peanuts can now contain up to 40,000 parts per billion (ppb) glyphosate which is almost 60 times the minimum containment level for drinking water which even the EPA admits causes organ damage and reproductive effects.

Forage is plant material (mainly plant leaves and stems) eaten by grazing livestock {the food many of us eat!} many who provide the food industry with meat and milk products. The new regulation means livestock can consume forage exposed to more than 142 times above the MCL of drinking water..."

Monsanto... google them, millions agianst monsanto (this is just 1... organization who knows).

This company is a true monster  !!!

I don't know were to start, except our government has set them loose.

Most people have not a clue, insiders move from companies like this to and from government.

These companies, their Lobbyist brow beat & pay off your representative w/ election contributions.

Deciding what you eat, how it's labeled (GMOor NOT), shake down farmers all over the world.

Don't forget the biggest planet wide experiment ever... the long term effect of GMO products on humans and our future health.

Folks don't expect your channel 12/10/what ever to let you know, companies like monsanto effectively own the media (media does not go after their ad customers).

Thank god for the net, people who seek the true can at least get an non sugar coated view.

If someone is very sure that food, allergy's and all the chit the companies are sticking in our food has nothing to do w/ colitis. Than this post is not proper here.

This post is very relevent, colitis and all the many autoimmune diseases rarely existed when food were not laced w/ chemicals, sugars...

Yep. Thats one of the reasons why gmo foods are so dangerous. Normally these pesticides would kill the plant. Instead they still thrive and people eat it thinking its safe.
It may not have started my uc but it certainly perpetuated it for years before i started eating only organic non gmo foods. After eight years of problems on and off the nightmare seems to be over. Six months and still doing great!

So if a person enjoyed Giant brand sunflowers seeds, I wonder if they're tainted with pesticides. Lovely.

I can honestly say one thing, without all those frankenfoods my colitis somehow is in remission. Something that years of biotech meds were unable to do. I dont mind that my apples are not bright red or they brown after i cut them up. They taste great and are full of the good things mother nature intended.
I still here people say " i dont want to know whats in my food", and it makes me just shake my head in disbelief!

Look for GMO free when you shop at the store. You might feel a little better about eating it.

Yeah, we don't get GMO labeling, even GMO-free, in Canada. I believe that's the same in US, correct?

Glad I have a small garden but that's only for spring/summer/fall, and that's pushing it.

The stuff i get delivered from the local farms is certified organic and gmo/pesticide free. The meats are all free roaming and not warehouse raised with tons of antibiotics from living in kneedeep waste. When i go to the supermarket i have to read labels very carefully and i do alot of internet research about the products ahead of time. Hopefully someday all foods will be labeled.

At least some product manufacturers do label their items with gmo free tags, but big corp as you know only has one goal... $$$. Until that day i just assume it is unless it says certified organic gmo free. It takes alot of work but not having to stick needles(cimzia) in my stomach every two weeks is a good incentive. :)

and the Supreme Court...Clarence Thomas, a former employee for Monsanto.  You can't trust the system!  Haha

Make's it tough to get labeling done when even Whole Foods wants to wait 5 years to force companies to label.

I always assumed I was paying more there for organic, non-GMO foods when I shopped there.  When I found out otherwise, I was so disgusted.  I now read every label of every product in there.  It takes longer, but once you know a product is clean you can buy it every time.

If you have a smartphone you can download the Buycott App. It will tell you the origin of foods with a barcode. It's especially handy for those organic companies that we think are safe, like Eden Foods, but really are owned by a much larger non-caring corporation.

I'm really shocked at American's seemingly lack of interest or concern in the Monsanto debacle. We should be outraged; we should be protesting for the safety of our food. And yes Whole Foods is just another corporation that puts the bottom line ahead of everything else.

Shop locally; buy from farmer's if you can.
