Just checking on the forum to see how everyone is doing. I am now 73 - diagnosed with UC late in life. I have had IBS since young. Had a checkup with my gastro doc because my medications I keep in case of flare had expired - good news. She said I do not need a scope until next year or if something changes.
I had a knee replacement and now having cataracts removed soon.
Glad my UC is staying under control. I do rely on Imodium often and very careful what I eat.

Hi Elaine!!! good to see you again.
Awesome to hear your UC is behaving and that you have the meds when you need them.

How was the knee replacement recovery? and do you now have relatively pain free mobility?

All is OK with me UC-wise...

After your cataract surgeries, you'll be good to go!

HI! Good to hear from old friends. My knee is pretty good - no joint pain, of course, but I need the left one done - it is really bad - eyes first and then we will see. Glad I had it done although it was NO FUN!

Hey, Elaine, I was just thinking about you a couple of days ago. Glad to hear you're still doing well and getting your "deferred maintenance" taken care of.

I'm still in remission and trying to wear out my new knee. I think it'd be a shame to pay for a new knee and not use it up before I die...

Hi Elaine! I'm happy to hear that your UC is behaving. Too bad the rest of you is falling apart! But isn't that always the case? ;)

I'm in remission finally. A very stable one I started remicade almost 2 years ago.

My gma had cataract surgery. She breezed thru it with no complications. My FIL had it done too. Good luck!
