Another colonoscopy??

I had a flex sig in May 2012 to confirm colitis and a colonoscopy done in Dec. 2012. I have been flaring since due to mesalamines's not working. My new GI physician wants another colonoscopy done to see if he wants me on Humira. Curious to know if any one thinks it is normal for another colo so early? Does he need to do a colo to prescribe Humera? Just don't want to do anything unnecessary unless I have to. He thinks I might have Colits with a Crohn's feature. I'm on Uceris (steroid) now, so I wonder if that will alter his findings...

how often do you plan on changing gi's ?

My last colonoscopy I was in a flare. This time my flare subsided due to being on Uceris, but once I'm off Uceris, I flare up again with a vengeance. I know now that this is due to not being on a maintenance drug that works for me.

This new GI does have my records from my previous colonoscopy. And the reason I changed GI's is due to moving to another state. He is suggesting after this scope, he might put me on Humira and taper me off Uceris after a few months...

I just really don't want another scope; however, I do want to get better and if y'all think its normal for him to scope me then I won't gone in second guessing myself. ;)

Thanks Soystud. I will keep that in mind. ;) My husband relocated for a job, so I kinda had to move. Hehehe

And, I always second guess myself on everything. I'm bad about that. And plus, I haven't met my insurance deductible so I'm not excited about having to pay that, but I don't mind if its necessary.

I just want to have a normal life again. ;)
