I do not believe enemas or suppositories, themselves, give you gas. You can inadvertently let a lot of air 'up there' if you administer the enema or suppository incorrectly (e.g., don't 1st squeeze all of the air out of the enema bottle). The enema, once it washes up against your intestinal wall, can release little gas bubbles stored in that wall; causing gas.
