enemas question

This may seem like a dumb though but do enemas really treat all sides of your colon (at least to the length it reaches)? I mean...I'm laying on my side and maybe during the night I'll roll to my back, but I try not to move around too much since it makes me want to go if I do.

Wouldn't all that liquid just sit on the bottom there only touching the left side of the wall and maybe some of the back side, all thanks to gravity? How would it coat the other sides of the intestine unless you spin around a few times?
