Sodium butyrate and pred-- salt issues?

Dores anyone know if the sodium in sodium butyrate would add to ones sodium levels either orally, or in an enema? Im assuming either way you are still absorbing the salt. Im on prednisone and trying to keep sodium low...

I know the BodyBio Sodium Butyrate 600mg have approx. 155 mg of sodium per capsule. Hope that helps.

hey teck man - how long have you been doing the sb ? what changes did you notice ?

I have been taking it since May. I have found it to be helpful for reducing inflammation. My GI thinks it is a good idea to take it for its preventive and therapeutic potential to reduce inflammation created by UC. Also, it may help prevent colorectal cancer. Good enough for me as its relatively inexpensive.

*SB has created some of the largest stools I have ever had. Lol

hmmm, I've been having quite a few 1x1's lately - not sure I wanna go any bigger :-0 !

you know my problem is I just can't keep from tinkering - I haven't added any new supps recently, and geez, there are a million different ways to go, how do you decide - but I think i'll throw a bottle in the amazon cart and see how they fly - thanks for the recommendo !

No problem. I will tell you that you wont likely have huge stools unless you add a lot of resistant starch to your diet.
