Hi, I was on 8 days of prednisone in the end of April ( high dose). I started to feel sick at the end of the course so I stopped abruptly and went to the ER the day after. Got bad anxiety, fatigue and pins/nedless feeling in my skin. The doctor told me it was ok to just stop without tapering due to the short duration. I was feeling thath way for a while, but after a couple of weeks I was getting back to my normal self. For 6-7 weeks I had no anxiety or fatigue, just som skin issue occationaly. In the beginning of july, I came down with a stomack flu, and BAM, the sympthoms came back. Anxiety, fatigue and bad nausea too this time. Got better after a about 3 weeks but crashed again after a stressfull event. Got better again but the sympthoms came back when I got sick with flue again. Went to see a doctor in the beginning of july, and had som bloodtests done. Longtime bloodsugar was low but otherwise normal test, including morning cortisol. I did not do any evening cortisol or saliva testing. I was were stressede out at the time of the test, and I am wondering if that could have masked a less than optimal functioning adrenal glands. Has anyone been through something similar? I went to see another doctor last week and I am going to check my cortisol and acth levels on tuesday.
