UCHater posted a link that I read and in the same website I came across this potential therapy:

Now it talks of rheumatoid arthritis throughout but at the very bottom it mentions they are starting a small patient trial for Crohn's Disease.

Something to keep an eye out for in the future.

interesting. I would like to know more about the particular [nerve stimulation] pattern that regulates the immune system. I wonder if it is similar to an suppressant.

No I think pain control is secondary. The claim is to regulate immune system.

I came across this through my mental health work where vagus nerve stimulation is being researched for PTSD by Stephen Porges. We can do it ourselves with deep breathing, definitely helps me I believe. Unfortunately my breathing is constricted now as I seem to have had a virus that has caused costochondritis.
