I just wanted to say out loud.... out of all places, why does my gi office only have ONE bathroom?? It's always occupied.... the one place that should understand the importance of bathrooms....

Dude man, our disease, our issue is like 1-2% of the population. Our disease is meaningless. Far more important to cure breast cancer or prostrate or diabetes than our U.C.

Even a chimp knows what cancer is, ask anyone if they know what U.C. is. They'll be like...uuuuhh ahhh... so yeah.

1+1 = no emphasis on toilets.

Most GI's don't own, they rent. And the owner built not knowing what type of doctor or business would occupy it. My previous GI had one bathroom in her small office but there were also 2 hall bathrooms for that floor of the medical building-one for men, one for women. No one was EVER in the hall ones.

I don't know if GI's would even build more bathrooms. Not all of their practice deals with IBD/IBS and even UC people aren't all super-urgent. I've met plenty of GI practice nurses who had no clue about what our really bad symptoms are like. Most people, even med. professionals, cannot imagine what real urgency is. I don't think anyone who hasn't had it can realize what it's like.

If they've ever had a stomach bug, they know what urgency is like...sad when nurses/receptionists at GI's/colon and rectum specialists office don't know enough about IBD...it should be mandatory to get hired...it should be mandatory for the general public to know what it is too lol...but I doubt it would make much of a difference anyway.

Speaking about toilets, you know what bugs the hell out of me, going into a public restroom with 15 empty stalls and you pick one at the far end, no one else is in there, then someone else does come in and picks the one out of 14 un-used ones right fricken beside you...what in the hell is wrong with people???? A ton of other empty stalls to choose from far away from the one and only other person in there and they have to be right beside you??? Creepy creeps...and it's not even kids that do it, it's an adult every single fricken time.

The longer I have this disease, the more annoying I find the general public to be! LOL

lame, find a different gi? mine is in a newly constructed building that is their own. the practice is pretty modern and has a lot of bathrooms.
