UC and Diet

Process of elimination, food diary and document progress. Start with cutting out lactose, then gluten and keep it simple. You just need to know our body and the reactions it has if any to certain foods.

Alcahol is a big one and sugar so look at the amount of sugar in diet and cut right back.

Caffeine is something to trial also.

who really gives a rats ass whether anyone else has an issue with gluten ? if you do, it can make a significant difference in how you feel - that's like saying unless everyone else wins a 20 million $ lottery along with you, it doesn't really count !

good luck with your gluten freeness - try to give it 90 days if you can - 

Chew everything really well. I'm a big believer in the fact that we have teeth for a good reason: so your stomach and gut doesn't have to work as hard. But, you can chew cheese all you want, but you're never changing the fact that cheese will probably bother most people with UC. Try my recipe of banana pancakes:

Small batch: smash up 3 or 4 bananas
Whip 3 or 4 eggs
(You could stop here, toss that on a pan. But I feel they're a little "fall-y-appart-y") so....
I add coconut flour to give it some structure and volume.
You could also add cinnamon/peanut butter(Careful how much, it really bothers me)
I use coconut oil to cook them with
Then I use honey as syrup.

I literally lived off these and omelettes for breakfast with bananas as snacks for a solid year until I gained a better understanding of my body.
