Any updates here from anyone?
And has anyone ever heard from protocolteck?... the one that came up with this..
I had my 6 month GI appointment a few days ago and he was visibly shocked when he came in the room and looked at me. In fact he walked in and said wow... I assume you're doing pretty good! I seem to range between 95 and 100% remission now all the time with solid stool pretty much always, no blood, no mucus. My weight has maintained itself and slowly crept up and stabilized and I can actually eat things like wheat crackers and bread now and then without any ill feeling whatsoever. But I'm chicken to venture to far down that path - though I do test it from time to time. All foods are fine with me know and cause no issue.
This is the first time in 12 years I've had this response. And no IBS like symptoms anymore. Even on Remicade I went into clinical remission as soon as I went strict SCD along with it - but I still has major IBS & D type problems.
Still following the same thing I have been for the last six months. Blood work all came back perfect and over the last 6 months it didn't have any negative effects with Imuran. My GI kept my blood work weekly for a long time when I first started this just to be sure so this was very cool of him. He had his concerns over a few things between the WOO and Imuran. So did I.
Now comes the decision do I want to drop the WOO and Thyme oils or drop the Imuran. I still haven't decided which. Been procrastinating. My GI wants me to stay on Imuran and see what happens when I taper off the WOO/Thyme but he said again, ultimately it's my decision and he'll support me either way but his preference is for me to remain on Imuran. He's been quite good at following things with me on this so I think I might do what he wants. I can always return if things go bad again. Part of me very much wants to drop the Imuran though... just to see...
Anyway - was curious how anybody else was... specially anyone with Crohn's-Colitis in which this seems to have the biggest effect.
EDIT: @crofters - I'm sorry I missed your post from long ago. I'm not sure how long. I'm on 6 months and trying to decide what I want to do.
