Can ＵＣ affect the liver?

Just wondering if there's anybody else out there with ＵＣ that has a tumor on their liver and if so, did it derive from the disease? Or does ＵＣ just affect everyone's liver....?

I'm so sorry to hear that you have a tumor on your liver. I was not aware that liver disease was associated with UC. After doing an internet search, I found out that about 5% of people with IBD develop severe liver disease.

I hope that everything works out ok for you.

I know that the liver is UC related when PSC is involved but that is not a tumor disease .
Cedars Sinai website says: Long-standing ulcerative colitis and scelerosing cholangitis can sometimes increase the chances of getting cholangiocarcinoma.

That's terrible! I'm so sorry. How did you come to know you had a tumor? I'm so afraid of developing another condition in addition to UC and not knowing. I've read that kidney problems can develop as well. Do things like that show up in blood work? Or would one have to have further testing? I hope the best for you...
