I saw my IBD specialist today. Had a flex sig. Still have circumferential ulcers with narrowing at 10 and 15 cm, and a pretty gnarly looking ulcerated pseudopolyp at 15 cm.
I am having a full colonoscopy on Monday! She was reading my history and found my first scope from 2011 showed inflammation from the cecum to hepatic flexure, so she wants to biopsy everywhere to make sure I have UC and not Crohn's. I don't think I do have Crohn's, but it would be a very nice thing to know before surgery. It would also open up a few Rx options.
My Remicade is at 35 ug/mL, so I do not need to adjust that. We drew azathioprine levels again. They were close to right before we dropped the dosge, so this is my first check with the allopurinol.
She said the C word, she doesn't want me to hang out with this active ulceration too much longer, but I am booked up through next July, so I have to stall surgery at least that long. Once DS graduates, they can hack away all they'd like :). If it is Crohn's, I could have a very small resection and be really good.
I ran out of hc enemas Sunday, and I'm supposed to stop them now. I'll be OFF of steroids!
So, yay, I'm working Friday and prepping Sunday. Happy Thanksgiving!
