Has anyone been diagnosed with a recto-vaginal fistula, but doesn't have chrons? I have all the symptoms of a fistula, but my MRI and pouchoscopy didn't show anything. I also had a small bowel follow through that showed I do not have any symptoms of chrons (which is good!). I meet with my doctor next week and am most likely going to have an EUA done. Just curious if anyone with UC and a j-pouch has gone through all of this and what their experience has been. It's getting a little frustrating.



2007- Diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis
2008- J-pouch surgery

Currently on no meds!

I rarely do this, but if you do a search for fistulas in the forum search box, you'll get tons of results. I have an RV fistula, we've just recently had many long posts about them.. I don't have Crohns either. I don't have a jpouch though, still a colon. It is frustrating, I wonder if they are more easily fixed with a jpouch, or the opposite! Good luck!

An RV fistula can arise due to the pouch surgery and not be a sign of Crohn's. There are many people with them on jpouch.org, I would try posting there!
