My toilet is clogged! Oh no. I pull the lever, the water is coming up and it is slow to go down. I tried plunging, hot water with dish soap and an auger, nothing is working. Thankfully, I am not in flare. shocked

oh god. that sucks!! do you have more than one toilet??

our toilets have clogged a few times but luckily we have 3 so there is always another one to chose from. my stomach still goes up to my throat when it does clog though!

No, I don't  shakehead   My humble little rancher only has one. Crashing at my sister's place overnight until the plumber gets in tomorrow. And to think, I was about to eat some notso good food for UC tonight. Phew, dodged the proverbial brown bullet on that one haha

Yikes...that would be a nightmare for us as well.

you don't, by chance, put anything other than toilet paper in there do you....such as any types of wipes? Because even the ones that say they're flushable, actually aren't (from what I see on home reno shows, etc).

Although, if you're in a community, it might be a plug caused by tree roots and someone else's wipes caught up in the pipes just where yours drain...(happened to our neighbour..Ka-ching!)

Hope it's not too much $$ to repair.

Yeah not excited about those flushable wipes not actually being flushable nowthat I own a house :(

Try having every time you flush, it comes up thru the drain in the basement! 0_o Now that was a nightmare! We had to poo in a bucket. Oh and having to flush multiple times in to get things to go down the toilet because there are roots invading the sewage pipes from the house to the street! lol So I am feeling your pain :)

My now four year old has a tendency to "use" a lot of paper and our toilets are always clogging. He did this on thanksgiving at my parents house and they have only one toilet. My husband and father spent 45 minutes getting the toilet working again.

Oh gawd, this reminds me of a time about 15 years ago when I was flaring badly. I was living with a roommate in a small house with one bathroom. My roommate took long, really long showers. At times the urgency was so desperate, and the bathroom occupied, that I used a five gallon pail in the shed out back; probably resorted to this no fewer than ten times. I was quick to bury the contents and rinse the pail.

We had a toilet years ago that I swore my kid put something in. We had the plumber out and he snaked it with the hard core snake. Still didn't work. Had to replace the toilet. We have since gotten very good at replacing them. :) I luckily haven't lived anywhere with only one toilet in over 15 years. I actually have 4 in this house.
