Popcorn: Delicious goodness or the devil?

I've been steadily normal for a while, until today when I ate popcorn last night. Last time I had popcorn it didn't bother me, period. So I thought I was in the clear. Nope. Nope, nope, nope.

Is it normal for popcorn to cause diarrhea and multiple, painful bathroom trips (currently 3 times, when I only go once every other day)?

I swear it's the devil. Tricks you into eating it then kills you on the way out. Never again.

Should I let my body uh, evacuate the offending food before I start freaking out by thinking it's something more than the popcorn causing issues?

ahh popcorn. i remember the last time i had it...

i was seeing twilight: eclipse and had been at the theatre since the afternoon. they were showing twilight and new moon beforehand so i figured i'd buy tickets for all 3 movies since i'm a twihard. for some stupid reason, i didn't think to bring food to the theatre. i was probably there for 10 hours and ended up eating a lot of popcorn and goobers. i wasn't a big junk food eater but i was starving.

my belly was ENORMOUS the next day. i was so backed up and felt super uncomfortable. i haven't had popcorn since...

i think you will feel better once it's all out of your system.

Same thing happened to me when I went to see Doctor Who. Sometimes I can eat popcorn fine but that night was not a good night for me.

I've noticed that usually when I eat popcorn (just had some tonight) that I do allright if I am choosy about the pieces I eat and don't overdo it. It's the husks that get you (sometimes the butter) so if you eat the very best pieces with no husks then I make it through it. If I eat too many pieces with the husks still attached then you can expect some action.

What is this popcorn you speak of???? I haven't had popcorn in many many years that I forgot what it tastes like! It killed my gut and now that I'm remission, I STILL can't eat it due to Diverticulosis :(

it's funny because my mom and sister are popcorn addicts. they both eat a huge bowl of it every night while watching tv. my mom says it's her "heathy snack" but i'm not sure i consider cheddar cheese popcorn healthy...
