Just been reading news about all the snow and ultra low temp you are having it must be alwfal cold there we moan if it's -3 but -35 is real bad
We're having the wettest winter for years with 100's of floods we're lucky as live on a hill but friends spent Christmas under 2 foot of water
Seems weather gone crazy
I expect that we will get some of your snow and cold weather soon as we normaly do stay safe from uk to the USA and Canada

Excited for highs in the negitives for the next 3 days.....

Lucky for me, work will probably be closed Monday so I won't have to leave the house! :D

Cincinnati, Ohio checking in - what the Weather Channel often refers to as the Ohio Valley.

We had a Winter Storm warning posted for today. We were predicted to have freezing rain, just rain and then heavy snow by afternoon, 8 to 10 inches in fact. For the Bengals' play off game too.

Then in a matter of 12/24 hours, they backed way off and now we just have an advisory. Temps all day above freezing, and just rain. Some snow overnight.

We've had several snow storms already, a few before xmas and that's unheard of for this area. So we'll take the rain.

I know my back is appreciative that I don't have to shovel 8 to 10 inches of snow today!

Lots of snow in Winnipeg and continuing very cold, but thankfully no ice storms or tons of extreme snow as other areas have gotten. Some electricity outages as well as watermain breaks (dome people are still without water since before Christmas....which is insane)

People and news reporters are getting to be whining wimps in my city (and across Canada) regarding the wind chill factors....nothing's changed in the weather here except some winters are pretty mild with less snow (and a lot messier). I prefer the cold.

Michigan is getting blasted by winter storm Ion. Our wind chill is supposed to get to -30 and we are expected to get anywhere from 12-16" of snow. All of the surrounding schools have already called off school for the kiddos tomorrow. Me and the hubby went to northern MI for the weekend and came back today before the heaviest of the snow hit. It was still quite harrowing!

We were just in New Orleans. Nothing is insulated, and we got close to freezing the other night. That beautiful stone floor in the bathroom was mighty cold without anything under it! I'm still in the Deep South, and it will be below freezing tonight. It is very rare weather for the area.

We should run into snow about an hour north of here tomorrow.

I understand we're heading home to a foot of snow. Work has called non-essential employees off tomorrow. I don't know what that means for the planned vacation day I have :-/

I live a bit north of Marsky and over the past several days I've seen estimates ranging from 1-3 to 8-12...sometimes being shown on two different weather predictions at the same time!

The snow started about an hour ago after raining all day. I'm hoping they treated the roads when it was just raining so snow doesn't just cover a giant sheet of ice! The deep freeze starts tonight.

Flooding sucks. We can easily get hit with a double whammy... lots of snow that immediately melts one day causing flooding.

Lambkins, I'm glad to read that you made it thru Christmas o.k. from the flooding-- which I saw in some photos on BBC news online. How are you feeling UC-wise? RE my regional weather: we were lucky to only get 6 inches of snow on Fri, 1/3, here in Manhattan, NYC. Boston got more than 17 inches! New Englanders are pretty tough, though, about dealing with heavy snow-- comes with the territory. / Old Hat (33 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)
