now I have shingles and can't take my humira. can't catch a break

Woke up this morning with a huge rash on my back. Went to Dr and I have shingles.
Now I can't take my humira or methotrexate because it might make it worse. I need my humira though. I just can't catch a break. Been in a flare for a year, had clots in my lungs at Christmas, now shingles. Can't wait to see what I get next

I know how it is when bad things keep happening! Been dealing with all sorts of bad things for 20 years. It's now at the point where if something happens I just say, okay whatever...just deal with it but don't dwell. That's how I keep my chin up. But I totally get how you're feeling. It sucks.

Did the doc give you Valtrex? Or any med to help with it?

Scum, hang in there... Most all of us have many times reached points where everything seemed to be working against us. Time helps heal things and lets you know what your best option really is.

I had the shingles a few months ago too!!!! They sucked and hurt like hell, the only way I got through it was because I think I was high from the pain meds

It is not always 103 but it spikes a couple of times per day. I have been having fever off and on for months. I just blame it on my flare. I think the shingles are just making it a bit higher than normal. Tylenol seems to work just fine.
