How long until Remicade "kicks in"?

I just had my first Remicade infusion on January 7th. Two days later, I felt AMAZING. I mean, better than I have in months. I actually had energy and wanted to leave my house. Then, by the next day, I was back to normal. How long until that amazing feeling is permanent?

How frequent are you getting your infusions right now?

For me, I felt better on day two just like you but for me it stayed that way all the way through my treatment with Remicade.

It varies. Some feel better a week after the 1st infusion, others after the 2nd, some after the 3rd. At least the loading doses are close together so you should find out relatively quickly whether or not remi is working. Your body needs to heal, that isn't going to happen overnight, so be patient and give it time to do its stuff.

I noticed positive changes a week after the second infusion. And then bigger improvements after the 3rd.

Yup, everyone is different. I got my first dose while in the hospital and my family noticed a difference in me by the next day. I'll be getting my 5th dose this Friday and things are still slowly improving for me.

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. I've been pretty busy with school starting back.
I am currently getting infusions every two weeks.
Yesterday I had to be in class from 10-7 and I am really paying for it today. I'm exhausted, having a lot of lower left quadrant pain, and seeing blood in my BMs. At this point I can't wait for my next infusion.
