I just had my surgery today to have my loop jejunostomy put back in. My surgeon was very happy! She bought it would take 3.5-5 hours because of how messed up a case I am. It took a little over an hour! There was also double the chance she would need to open me but ut was all laparoscopic.
I guess that I am a messed up case, took them about
4 hours for me and they had to cut me
open after they first tried to operate laproscopically, my colon was in really bad shape.
Its really nice when in a couple days they start you on solid food again. But I got the worst heartburn the first time I ate and then they gave me antacid afterwards. They said that is common the first couple of times you eat after the surgery....I was like why didn't you give me something before I ate so this didn't happen.
Sounds like the surgery went really well and you'll be out of there on Monday or Tuesday.
