Help! Medications and colonoscopy

Hello, I'm a 26 year old female. I had a ct that came back saying I had inflammation and possible colitis. I have a colonoscopy scheduled tues morning. I'm supposed to start the nasty cleaning out process tonight but then it hit me that my back dr gave me a prescription for prednizone fri. Not thinking about the colonoscopy I took the prednizone for two days. My drs office is closed today so my question is- did I mess up the colonoscopy and should I still start the prep ? Also should I take tonight's dose of the prednisone ?

Many people are on pred and get scopes. I don't take any meds the night of prep or the next morning. I take things when I first get home after having a bit to eat.

Just tell your GI when you have the scope done that you have been on pred for a few days.

I'm surprised your starting your prep tonight? What kind are you using?

Thanks for responding. To clarify the prednisone was for a different problem. My prep instructions were 1/26- take 4 docolax at 6 pm 1/27 - no food at 5 take a half a bottle of mirilax with Gatorade. 4 more docolax at 6pm, 4:30 am 1/28 take the other half of bottle of mirilax and report to the hospital at 9:30 am
