This past week I said "goodbye" to my jejunostomy (basically an ileostomy that actually comes from the jejunum (middle) part of the small intestine.
Since I had such extensive surgery this summer, my surgeon was prepared for anything this time. She found just slight scar tissue and was able to extend the former ostomy hole to access everything she needed! The surgery was 1/3 of the time predicted. I spent a week in the hospital just to be safe.
Now I'm home. I only have an end ileostomy now and no more TPN!

YAY, I am so happy for you. Sounds like you're well on your way to being back to normal. Are you going to get for a j-pouch eventually or are you happy with the ileo?
