Sorry it's not an option for you (it's a sad world we live in) I've had crohn's for 23 years this spring, no full remission ever (I'm more surprised it took this long to have fistula complications cuz it's pretty common for those with crohn's colitis like myself to have them, especially with the perianal crohn's skin tags, which is actually how my CD started).
As far as the ostomy goes, my GI just told me that if we can't get things (my severe rectal inflammation and fistulas) taken care of, an ostomy will be in my near future) that's his opinion though, no way will I live with an ostomy and I know that sounds stupid to a lot of people but I know myself and my emotional and mental issues and far as I'm concerned I'd rather be dead...just sayin'.
Thank you, I hope I find relief to and I hope you do as well, it can take some time to get set up on biologics (probably something you need with having a fistula) so I hope you can find a good doc ASAP.
Keep us posted and if you want to start a new thread to further discuss, I'm on board with that.
