Hi after my scope which was severe my doc admitted me for three days.I also have a bladder infection that I didn't know I had. Im on Lialda again, rowasa, I'm on bags of cipro, flagyl, steroids but I'm doing good. St Mary has been wonderful! My doc said remicade made me much worse. He said my sugar was high is checking on diabetes. I'm weighing in at 111 at 5'7 and I'm still on a liquid diet.i would love to eat but he said bowel rest.
Actually I'm feeling better :) my boss sent me flowers and if read my other post...it happened I fart A ton in front of my neighbor. We just laugh about
it on the phone now. He's 60 , retired fireman he says he knows way too much about
farting.
I will keep in touch.

Geez, you just can't catch a break can you?? I'm sorry you ended up in the hospital but it seems that they got things under control. Hang in there!

Ugh, so sorry you are in the hospital...but glad you are feeling better. Hopefully this will start off a chain of good events and it will be the break you need/deserve.

Hope you are out of the woods soon and see some improvement after bowel rest.
I used to do my home-version of bowel rest a couple years ago. Chicken broth and lots of liquids including veggie juices along with mesalamine enemas. Really helped my wounded gut.
Sorry to hear about
sugar being high. Is this a side effect of Remicade or what?

You would think docs would take yeast more seriously, my gosh they give out so much sugar! Pudding, jello, pop, ice cream and Popsicles ! I had cream of wheat and yogurt today, not plain :( others have a lot of sugar!!

Sorry to hear about
all of this, but it sounds like you are handling it very well and that you are being taken good care of :) Glad you can laugh with your neighbor about
the farting! I mean really, it's farting, what is there NOT to laugh at?! Now that I have the stoma, he makes funny "farty" noises from time to time and it always makes me giggle! I hope you get to feeling better soon and they figure out a way to make you feel better for good! For now...enjoy the room service and cable TV.

My gi doc met with my MD doc and said remicade is not off the table, it takes a while for it to work. He said maybe try uceris again with Lialda and rowasa. He said I was sick cuz of the low potassium and diarrheah and remicade not working yet. He's hopeful.
They r running more test. I'm going home with cipro and flagyl one for bladder and other for uc.I will have diflucan too.
On a positive note I may get to leVe tomorrow :)
