I have an appt in 2 weeks with a GI's PA. I'm used to my small town with my doctors that I know and like. My primary physician said its time for me to make that connection. I'm thinking probably better right now while there is nothing major going on instead of waiting until I need a GI right now! rolleyes

I agree it will be easier to meet now than when in rough shape. This is just a meet and great, no pressure, you're not in a spot where you NEED him NOW to provide relief!! Also, I know for me, going new places is somewhat stressful. Better to get familiar with the building, where to park, where the bathrooms etc are so if you ever return while flaring its one less thing to worry about :-)

Things will be ok! It is very scary going to a bigger facility. Give yourself tons of time to find it, go to the bathroom, and all that other stuff. There's nothing worse than making yourself for more stressed!

Easier to meet now then when you really need to get in. This way when that happens they will be more likely to get you in right away instead of having to wait an eternity to be seen.
