fleet enemas

Hey guys...I'm getting a flexible sigmoidoscopy done today and they gave me two fleet enemas to take an hour apart.

I've been bleeding a lot lately and I'm pretty worried that since these Enemas are basically a saline solution it's going to burn the cr*p out of my insides. Have you guys experienced that? I'm not worried about administering it since I've done plenty of enemas before, I'm just worried about the salt burning what must be a pretty cut up colon. :(

I've had them burn before but I often have persistent inflammation without bleeding when it does. Salt on a wound; I'd like to sock the sadistic jerk who came up with that one right between the eyes. You can take your chances with the saline prep, or devise a water only enema if you have a means of doing it that way.

the only burning I ever felt was right on the anus. a little nupercanal or some such could add a lot of comfort.
