Once again....ladies how bad does your period mess with your UC?

I took Yasmin continuously (no periods) for years. I did have breakthrough bleeding usually about twice a year so usually I would take ~5 days off from active pills since I found the bleeding stopped more quickly if I did that, vs. having light bleeding for a few weeks while continuing to take active pills.

In any event, my surgeon insisted that I switch off of Yasmin onto a lower estrogen pill because of IBD and blood clot risk with surgery. I'm on Seasonale now and a period every 13 weeks is too many for me!! It actually doesn't seem to substantially affect my BMs anymore but I still have bad cramps, low energy, etc and can't take Advil so I'd rather it never come.
