Hi everyone. I was diagnosed with uc in 2003 and have just found this site whilst browsing mid flare. I have had many flares with only one really bad one back in 2005 ish which almost resulted in surgery but I luckily escaped. I am unfortunately flaring at the min and due to see consultant next week. My symptoms at the min are different to usual - I don't have what I would call 'dire rear' but a frequent mad dash resulting in mostly blood with alittle brown liquid. Twice over the last week I had no control over this and am only glad I was at home
I don't have pain but do have really bad bloating, grumbling and wind. I am constantly shattered! I have also noticed on waking that my kidneys feel crushed and i'm experiencing night sweats
Does this ring any bells with anyone?

Hi and welcome to HW! Your symptoms sound familiar to me. I haven't been dealing with sweating lately but fevers are common with flare ups. I have had the gas, extreme urgency and bloating too many times to count. I am really sorry you're not feeling great but at least it's not "dire rear" because that sounds pretty bad, like what I was dealing with recently. Best of luck with your GI next week. Keep my updated as to what they say. What meds are you taking to treat this UC?
