Hello,

It's been a while. Haven't flared up since first trimester and got that under control with moving up remicade to six weeks. Got a dose 2nd week of December and had a c section Jan 11th at 25w gestation with beautiful twin girls. I lost one of my daughters 5 days later and my other daughter is in the NICU with a breathing tube. the stress has been at times more than I think I can handle. I could not get remicade until 6 weeks after I delivered bc its major surgery. All was fine until last week when I had some urgency and got remicade on Friday. On Saturday it became worse and today it's every 20 min, very painful cramps then running to the bathroom. Doc called me back while I was in the bathroom and going back on prednisone 40mg. So it was 10 weeks in between remicade. I'm going through so much this is a punch in the face. I'm laying on my left side which does seem to help for now. This just sucks so much.

I want to express ny deepest condolences for the loss of one of the babies and am sending prayers and healing thoughts for your other sweet baby! I can only imagine how hard this must be. Very, very sorry!

I would strongly suggest you be tested for c-diff and other infections just to rule out another possible cause of the increase in symptoms, especially since you were recently in the hospital.

Beth, I am so sorry to hear of your premature delivery and the loss of one of your daughters. That is such a tragedy, and I hope you and your husband are giving each other a lot of love and support during this difficult time. I'm glad to hear that your surviving twin daughter is doing alright. When do you think you will be able to bring her home?

I'm sorry you're having this flare and I hope that it resolves quickly.

Oh my goodness! Beth I am so so sorry to hear of your loss! My condolences to the loss of your sweet girl. I can only imagine what you are going thru. Hugs to you and yours. Do they know why you lost her? Was it any of your medications or just because they were premature?

My heart breaks for you, truly it does. To lose a daughter like that (with the other one in Nicu) and then to get thrown into a flare....well...we are here for you.

Beth, I had no idea you've been going through so much when you responded to my other post this evening.

I have faced terribly difficult times in my life, but nothing like what you've been going through.

I can tell you that stress does a number on me, so I can relate to that. I've also seen a flare come from nowhere and take me from functional to immobilized in a matter of days.

Something that I am in the process of learning is that sometimes the only true healer is time itself... (speaking of your sorrow and challenges with your newborn).

My deepest condolences go out to you.

I am so sorry for your loss! It is totally understandable why you are flaring with all of the stress you are under. I will be praying for you and your family and your other sweet baby that is in NICU.

I am sorry to hear of your terrible loss. Condolences to you and your family. I hope the remicade and pred kick in soon. Give yourself every break possible and offers of help so you can get your strength back.

I am so sorry for this storm that you are in, I can't imagine. That you've went 6 weeks without a flare is a testament to how strong you are. I hope you have some support there making sure to feed you and care for you.

I'd follow pmedic's suggestion that you be checked for Cdiff...seems logical to me since you've been spending so much time at the hospital

Thank you for your kindness and concern. I do have c. Difficile, I'd prefer a flare. I'm on vancomycin and starting to feel better. I just hope this goes away but I'm scared from reading Dr. Google. I was on a ton of IV antibiotics for 72 hours after my water broke.

Most people respond very well to Vanco. Im glad you got the vanco first... and hopefully you will find relief very quickly.

You deserve something to go well for you right now... so hopefully it is this c.diff clearing up very very fast.

I am so so incredibly sorry. I just got over a second bout of cdif (I contracted it after giving birth as well) so I understand your horrible physical pain. The emotional pain, I cant even begin to imagine. I sincerely hope that you are healthy again very soon and send my deepest condolences.

Aw, Beth, that really sucks-- getting C.diff on top of other unlucky complications. But the Minimal Change disorder was scary, too, and you beat that like a real trooper-- so I hope that victory will give you more confidence now to keep fighting and right yourself again. Are you taking any probiotics to repopulate your gut with the "good" bacteria that the abx killed off? There are likely members here experienced with Vanco who can advise you which probiotics would be best to try phasing in. Hi Beth, I'm sorry you are going through this, but you are strong! Are you taking probiotics as well, like florastor? This may help or just maybe a simple one like trubiotics, which you can get both at Walgreens.

May you find more strength today and each day going forward.
