I just saw these videos about nutritional therapies for IBD by Dr. Leo Galland. I haven't watched all the videos in the series yet, but I thought it was pretty interesting on how he approaches dietary management for Crohn's vs. UC. He said his patients with UC don't usually respond to SCD, and he has a different approach focusing on high fiber especially from grains. He also said that relapse usually happens in UC from meat and alcohol consumption. Here's the video on UC on what his nutritional therapies are for UC:

Here's the video on Crohn's where he goes into the SCD:

If you watch the first few videos he also goes into what type of diet makes you more susceptible to UC vs. Crohn's, but he does note that it isn't just your diet that makes you susceptible, but I thought it was pretty interesting. I have Crohn's colitis and did SCD for almost 2 years, but flared constantly, even while on biologics, so I wonder if Crohn's colitis acts more like UC as far as nutritional therapies.
Interesting in video 7, he talks about how probiotics help UC but don't help or can even make Crohn's worse with the exception of S. boulardii, a yeast.
