diagnosed now what?

I am new here. I was diagnosed in Nov 2013 with UC. Went on pregnosone, Vit D, Threelac, slippery elm,
marshmallow, l-glutamine and various minerals suppliments.
Before the diagnosis I had a lot of food allergies. Apples, pears, lettuce, mushroom, yeast, banana, coffee.
I read on the net that red meat is bad, causes the smelly gas. What to believe? Can someone please give me a diet that works or know where I find one? Anyone know about SCFAs. Short Chain Fatty Acids, Inulin and
Oligofurtose? Thanks

welcome prsman - I eat lots of red meat - even tho I love to fart, and now can safely do it with reckless abandon, I very seldom do :-(

have you searched " a diet that works for me " ? cuz really, that's what it's about -
