Remistart Extended Access Question

I will have used up about $4,600 of the Remistart Rebate after two infusions, then in April I go on my fiancees insurance and will have to hit the $2,500 deductible again, and then have a 15% copay up to a total of $5,000 total ($2,500 more).

I'm curious what the limits are for the rebate program. I think remistart is $8,000 and then there is remistart extended access. Is this extended access another $8,000?

Both the initial Remistart Program and the Remistart Extended Access Program exhaust at 12 months or $8,000, whichever comes first. The Remistart Extended Access Program can be renewed annually.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding it, and Remistart Extended Access is the program for patients on it for over one year. Looks like that is the case, but waiting on a call from my clinic.

Check with RemiStart, and your GI if you are not sure. My GIs office has access to the remi manufacturer's AccessOne system, which reads in my insurance information and also reads in the RemiStart information. It spits out who owes what and gets through the confusion of insurance policies and all of it.

I talked to my GI clinic and it looks like the upper limit is 8,000 per year. Remistart is the first year. Remistart Extended Access is for additional years. They do not both fit in the same year, where you'd get 16k.
