Yeah, I was literally sitting down to have a glass of Kefir Milk and take my Ultimate Flora Probiotic before bed and stumbled on this:
Pathogenic relevance of Lactobacillus: a retrospective review of over 200 cases
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15599646I can't find the full paper but the Springer preview says this:
"The most common lacto bacteria isolated from infection were casei, rhamnosus and plantarum"
I'm pretty darn sure I just swallowed a whole bunch of all of these! haha
It does mention they are opportunistic in immuno-compromised individuals. Never came across this before. Has anyone else?
I will say that now that I think about
it, when I was flaring a year ago, I always had an intense reaction to to much of certain lacto bacteria. Like home made SCD yogurt from starter with a variety of lacto bacteria just killed me in a big way. Now being in remission I seem to have no issue with them.
I think OM maybe has quite the reaction as well.
