I've been diagnosed with sever ulcerative colitis 5 years ago. All 5 years went untreated. Here latley I've been trying to go into "remissions" which I hear everyone talk about. I wanted to feel better, live a better life, get a better job etc. I've started a diet drinking cabbage juice, greek yogurt, and all the bland stuff...

Tonight has been a sleepless night and I decided to get online and search more about UC. All I hear is diarrhea, diarrhea, diarrhea. But through out being diagnosed I haven't diarrhea or blood in the stool sense first diagnosed and hospitalized 5 years ago.

I've been thinking over my symptoms and all I have is constant explosion like gas, and anal leakage hours after my one daily bowel movement. No noticeable blood. diarrhea, weight loss etc. 5 straight years of just exploding gas. Then I did research and I'm scared now. Something I didn't want to see.

I was looking up my symptoms and it first lead to C. difficile colitis, but yet I don't have diarrhea, so through research it led to that. Or it could be Pseudomembranous colitis.
I just don't think it's UC anymore...

If you had a toxic megacolon you wouldn't be able to use the restroom at all...

Then what do I have. Because everyone has symptoms that I don't have, but I get like a constant never-ending explosions in my stomach. Like every 2 min through-out 24 hours

Why haven't you treated in these five years? The cabbage and other things you have been eating can give you exploding gas. I wasn't exactly sure on your timeline but it looks like you probably had this exploding gas before going on this diet. Another trip to the doctor is in order to re-evaluate your condition. Are you against meds and doctors or haven't you had the money? It's just wishful thinking if you believe you can get rid of your UC by "I wanted to feel better, live a better life, get a better job etc.". I hope you have realized that that isn't working.

Yes, it's been the same since I got out of the hospital for the first time years ago. A few weels later, just constant exploding gas, no diarrhea. and yes money plays the biggest role in it going untreated, being hyped up by assistant programs, then soon later getting turned down. Aren't the same thing that are in the meds natural things through-out the planet that scientist find and put together and charge 700$ for?
I was 100% certain that I could heal from just eating right. But not after all these years :/
Can sever UC even go into remission? Can it develop into worse forms of colitis like I posted above?

Personally I think you are in horrible shape and need immediate attention but that you are in an unrealistic panic over this Toxic Megacolon thing. As Andrina said, I also doubt you have TM. You need a doctor and you need meds. Many meds are made out of natural ingredients but that does not usually translate into you don't need them and can just take natural instead. In most cases meds are different than natural ingredients, that's why they make meds, because they are different, not because they take a natural ingredient and charge $700 for it.

There are many extremists who believe that just eating right will cure all diseases and in most cases that is simply not true. Once you have a disease you have a disease and those diseases usually require real medicine to get better. You can make the argument that if people "ate right" then they wouldn't get sick as often but that is not always true either and it certainly isn't true that once you get a disease such as UC you can just eat it away. Very few have luck with that, as you have found out. There have been several UC'rs that led a long life of "eating right" and still came down with UC anyway. If you are so terrified of dying because of Toxic Megacolon, why don't you just suck it up and see the doc and get on meds? Surely you can find a way around your financial situation, especially now that we have Obamacare.

I think you need to to see a doctor asap, worrying is far worse than knowing, and with regards to diet, everyone is different, but I can tell you now, I avoid cabbage, its one of the very worst things I could take for wind!...I hope you see someone soon.

IBD is individual for each patient, that's why you don't have all the same symptoms that others have....others don't necessarily have all the same symptoms from one to another either. You definitely need to see your GI.

If you had toxic megacolon as long as you've had symptoms, you would be dead by now from colon perforation. TM is accompanied by severe, constant pain, fever and usually vomiting of everything eaten. Make no mistake about it, you would have been in the emergency room a long time ago.

You do have some sort of bowel problems, we can't even guess at what. You really need to get yourself to a doctor to find out what's going on and start treatment. No disease in the history of the world was ever cured by denial.

Everyone's symptoms are completely different.

You need to see a doctor NOW...agreed.
