well nice, I'm not sure why you are attacking me - I've supported you and offered kinds words to you -

Firstly, it wasn't just you I attacked. It was the small clique of you who go after ambling in every single thread he posts in. A couple of you don't even bother with the cursory pretense of reading his posts; you just call him "rambling", without appearing to realise that other people "ramble" on far more than he does. He actually has a scientific background, and so does know something of what he talks about. He is also relatively neutral; nobody is ever entirely neutral of course, but he is more neutral than most on this board.

And secondly, I'm a badass internet white knight, what can I say? I decided to don my shining armour and ride in on my white horse to the rescue. You basically challenged ambling's purpose on the UC board, when the guy has had severe Crohn's for 25 years; yes, I was a bit pissed at that. There are many people on the UC board who have Crohn's instead or who don't give out a lot of advice. Some people love dishing out advice, while others are here for different reasons; all reasons are equally valid as far as I'm concerned, unless you're just here to spam or promote a politicised ideology.

(And for whatever it's worth, I have seen ambling give out advice/support on the Crohn's board.)

As for accusing you of not giving any advice, I never said you don't give any support or kind words to anybody. But you're not much of a enema-recommending guy; you don't give much in the way of practical advice was what I actually meant.

No, ambling is a he. Which is more than you can say of a certain stealthy 'male' user.

Anyway, if you want to be petty, that's up to you. Yes, I was hot-headed and could have been more tactful, but if you think you were any better behaved, you are wrong.

And if you start stalking my posts the way that you did gary's and ambling's, I will ignore you so fast it will make your head spin.

Soy, I really appreciate your more considerate posts – certainly not the ones where you play lapdog to unstable Stealthy, or stalk Gary...

FWIW, I have a younger sibling with UC, and another with Crohns-colitis. I applied my bulbous noggin towards understanding those versions of IBD, along with my own variety. But as wise and experienced as I am : ), I hold back on any practical advice on this board.

It is the misuse of science, and pushing of personal agendas, that makes my spider sense tingle. If you want me to stay away – avoid those two things.
