Gabeh, those that believe in epigenetics will say YES, those that don't will keep humping the immune system being broken.

I call MTHFR the mother effer gene because that is what they call it on autism boards.

London, what is your SLC19a1 status? Id also be curious to the results of anyone else on the board who has had 23and me run. Specifically GAD1 or 2 and SLC19a1 and MTHFR (or any significant polymorphisms anywhere in the methylation cycle.)

Along with the HLA-B 27, I carry 2 mutations in the MTHFR gene... C677T and A1298C.

PK - hetero on both SLC19a1 SNPs that 23andme report. Sterling from mthfr site told me that she is getting lots of people with "tummy problems" with polymorphisms in those snps.
GAD1 got 2 x homoz SNPs and 1 x hetero. I haven't looked into that at all yet.
