Rectal Meds

So I have an appointment at my GI's today. I'm going to get some bloodwork done which I know is going to look like hell. I might need another transfusion or iron infusion. But besides that, I want to talk to / force my doc into give me rectal meds. (Since he ignored me last time and told me to get Remi)

I'm in a minor flare now, taking entocort and asacol HD which seemed to help with the upper pain, but I still have lower pain in the gut, slight bleeding, and D. What would be best?

Some other questions .. do you bleed less from BMs when you're low on blood? Also, is this a sure sign I am low on blood or my pressure is bad? I can bend my wrist away from me to see the veins there but, I can also pull the skin on the sides of my wrist and I can make my blood flow .. stop .. or at least it's invisible.

Also Gary, if you happen to stop by, I stopped Remi on the 24th of last month. If I am remembering correctly, I have been on Remi since the summer of last year. It was working fine in the beginning but up until my last infusion in February, I still had minor cramping, D and blood.

I was able to get Uceris and Rowasa for the rectal med. Although, want to know something funny? He is both my general physician and GI. So when I lose him, I will have to find 2 new replacements, hah!

Yeah my doctor said depending on my results, I will have to go see a hematologist. Although, so far, no calls at 4am with his associate saying that my hemoglobin is a 4, so that might be a sign of good news.

Hopefully the Rowasa will help with the inflammation in the lower regions of my gut. ^__^

But it went well. My fiance told me that I kept rambling and interrupting the GI but, I do not remember any of the sort! He prescribed me Uceris since I was taking Entocort and it helped with upper pains but the lower ones were still there. He also gave me some Rowasa. I hope my body retains it well..

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who felt that way, journey2health. Yesterday was the third time I brought it up, and I suppose he finally listened. That or because another man was in the room and of course my doctor would listen. That problem occurs often with my doctors. I look like I'm 17 when in reality I'm 23 and they feel that they can make me dance to their tune.

So apparently my hemoglobin is 5.7 and they want me to get ANOTHER transfusion. Is there any way to avoid this? I have had about 7 or so now. Maybe even more because I lost count.
