Aside from the darn microwave or eating it cold, does anyone have a secret or tip for re-heating a steak to enjoy the next day? Something that doesn't make it go super well done? Perhaps the oven on low heat or something...
Just looking to enjoy the leftover a little more.
thanks

I like to sear it quickly on the grill and then finish in the oven. Comes out pretty good!

I'd put it in a very hot frying pan on the stove and cook it as quickly as possible, assuming it was cooked the way you like it in the first place. As little time cooking as possible. If you want it more well done than the first time, that's a different story.

I also use a hot skillet, cover it and cook just long enough to heat through.

Agree with Gary and Judy, maybe with a spoonful of butter heated in the pan first.

I slice it in to thin strips, assemble on bread, top with cheese (lactose free in my case) and warm in oven under broiler just until warm and cheese bubbly.

Cut it up and make steak and eggs, yum.

Thanks for the suggestions! I chose the covered skillet method with a bit of butter but I added some herbs so more like a herb/butter rub on medium heat as I under cooked it anyway in anticipation of re-heating.
Probably the best re-heated T-bone I have ever had!
thanks so much for all the ideas :)
EDIT: @toomuchpoopin - that sounds so awesome it's crazy!

T-bone? and you have some left??? ;-)
Good to hear you continued to enjoy it....sounds as though you made the right choice.
Lots of great suggestions. I would have fried mushrooms and then added it to the mix to warm it up (cut into strips or as is).
If you like Sechewan....President's Choice sause is awesome.

The correct answer is:
if it was BBQ'd properly, there shouldn't be anything left!!!......
