Does anyone have experience obtaining UC medication abroad? I have a dream to travel to South America for a year to study Spanish and volunteer, and am in the planning phase. I would like to spend a good deal of time in Cusco, Peru but also hope to travel around for a couple of months. Since I obviously could not take a year's worth of medication with me, I would have to obtain medication while I am there. I would plan to take my medical records with me, as well as a hefty supply of meds to get me started. I see that the US Embassy to Peru's website has two gastroenterologists in Lima listed as resources, as well. I was just wondering if anyone had successfully obtained medication abroad, and might let me know what to expect (cost, ease of getting them, availability, etc)?
Thanks in advance!
