Hi, I believe UC is hard enough without making yourself even more miserable by cutting out foods that may or may not have absolutely any effect on your UC, and one of the first things people do when they are diagnosed with IBD is to stop eating pretty much everything they like, I think its a mistake, and its possibly why people start to feel a tad depressed.
Everyone is different, and what works for one, will certainly not work for another. My diet is simple and safe, for me! I cut out the main triggers, ie diary and alcohol, and anything that common sense tells me will irritate my bowel, other than that I eat sensibly, and more importantly, happily.
