Symptoms of Asacol HD overdose?

I may have taken an extra 3 tabs of Asacol HD yesterday. I usually take 3 in the morning and 3 in the mid-afternoon. I realized later than usual that I hadn't taken my dose yesterday and then became conflicted as to whether I had and just forgot. I decided I would have remembered and took the dose.

This morning, I had very hard and difficult to pass BMs. I did eat poorly all weekend at odd hours, so that could have been the cause. But I'm curious if it was an OD causing today's symptoms.

What are the symptoms of an Asacol HD overdose? What is the appropriate course of action in case of an OD?

You'll be fine with taking 3 extra tabs. It looks like there was few side effects with people that took to many Asacol according to the literature I read. The most serious side effect could be kidney damage but you would need to take a lot more than 3 extra or continually overdose for an extended period of time.
