how to safely take hydrocortisone enema

I have been on the hydrocortisone enema not the foam for 2 weeks and will continue to take for another week. Then i will do every other night for another week. I am just wondering if this is safe to do, as my doctor seemed to ill inform me and had me stop after 5 days and then try to alternate which caused me to bleed again within 2 days. So when i called her she told me to take it for another week, but I just noticed today that my bleeding has stopped (which has been 16 days total, including the two days that i was off) and i know it is too soon to start alternating, so I plan to continue for another week then go every other night and then stop and maybe do the mesalamine enemas for another week and then alternate those.

I do not want to screw this up so I hoping someone can enlighten me as to their routine on this medicine. As I said above this is not the foam but the hydrocortisone enema which is different from the foam.

As you know I am using the foam enema. Twice a day for two weeks then once a day for two weeks.
I think your plan is a good one. I want to use mesalazine enemas when I have finished the pred foam. I have been using the foam for 6 days now together with pred and colazide and today has been my best day. Only a tiny speck of blood.
