Started delzicol, when do I take my fiber?

Tonight I went ahead and took 3x400mg delzicol pills. These are supposedly the same as Asacol HD.
I took them 1 hour before dinner and I left the outside plastic cap on them.

Rx is for this dosage twice a day.

Also use psyllium and slippery elm for fiber and some magnesium too, to get things moving. Usually after each meal.

Am wondering when I should take the psyllium seed fiber because I don't want to flush or coat the Delzicol and make it less effective. I worry about this because I read that slippery elm can lower the effectiveness of other meds or herbs since it coats our digestive tract. I wonder if this also applies to the psyllium.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Slippery Elm coats your digestive tract and certain pills, such as Delzicol, could slip completely through without being used at all. You will find the evidence in the toilet if this happens. If you don't ever see any full unused pills in the toilet then chances are your pills are being used 100%. Delzicol is a topical treatment which does not get absorbed into the blood (much) so it is either working all the way or not at all.
