Hi all,

I was laid off at the end of January and am currently experiencing my first flare. It's been 1 year since my symptoms started and I have my second colonoscopy scheduled for the end of June.

I had an interview today. My stomach was pretty upset this morning and I'm fighting off some major fatigue, but I spent time calming myself down, packed some emergency supplies and left plenty early to meet with the HR Manager. I was more nervous and less poised than I think I would have been before this disease, but I think the interview went pretty well! I am just so happy that nothing terrible happened! Ever since I had my first accident, I always fear the worst whenever I leave the house. I know many of us have this fear, and maybe it never goes away, but I'm thrilled that today I didn't let it keep me from something I truly wanted. Even though my body is struggling, I miss working. A LOT. I miss having a desk and a paycheck and business cards with my name on them. I have been my family's primary source of income for several years, and even though returning to work will be hard, it will also be a huge relief.

I don't really have a question to accompany this post. I just wanted to share a story about a good day. Please think positive thoughts that I beat the other 300 applicants and land the job, okay? ;)

Thanks toomuchpoopin! I appreciate it. I asked for a late afternoon interview since I've only had accidents in the mornings. I still worry about them all day, though!

I would really like this job, and I think it would be a great fit. They are narrowing it down to 6 applicants who will move on to the second interview. I should find out either way within the next two or three weeks!
