Just got home. I was so scared of the propofol, but it was WONDERFUL!! I woke up alert and felt like I just had a nice nap! :-)

We did have a little scare, however.... The doc went to take a biopsy of my cecum and I apparently took a breath at just the right moment, and the instrument went right into the lining! He was worried about a perforation, so I immediately went for X-rays. All was ok, thank God! That was a close one!

Now I have a full tummy and ready for a little nap. :-)

So nice to have it over with! At least he knew what happened and made sure you were okay! Rest up! :)

Glad the scope went well. Did your doc give you the visual results afterwards?

He did, but I'm still not real clear on what it was because we were so worried about there being a perforation. He said it is not as inflamed as two years ago, but definitely some disease activity still there. We are going to stick with the maintenance drugs that I am currently taking.

Glad your okay and woke up feeling good too! I felt the same after my colonoscopy, although from what I have read many people feel can awful afterwards..take it easy.

Thank you!! I am taking it really easy this weekend. He told me to be on the lookout for any signs of infection and to call him ASAP if I develop a fever or chills.
