YES! And people giving anecdotal, unproven remedy advice can actually harm someone who has a chronic health problem.

Please, just ask me how I'm doing today and I'll give you the answer you need to know - most of the time the answer will be "fine" because it really isn't something you need to know, you wouldn't understand and you might not even believe me.

Awesome! The ones I really seem to get a lot of is "Have you tried...." And to be honest those don't bother me one bit because who knows it only takes one time of a "Have you tried." The other one is the fatigue issues. I don't think regular healthy people can even possibly comprehend exactly what I mean when I say I'm worn out, I'm tired, I need a nap. That is when people start off with the I'm tired, you need to push through it, you need to get up and walk around. NO I NEED A FREAKING NAP PEOPLE!!!! You have NO flipping clue how much UC can bring down a guys energy level and no amount of caffiene, pushing thru, walking around is going to help.

Indeed, I am too young to be sick. I'm 33 and I still consider myself too young for a disease. It doesn't matter how someone puts it and turns the words around, if you 40ies and lower and your collecting diseases, that's not right.

But then, you'd say: But Somedude, what do I do if I'm young and I have a disease.

To that I say: How the **** should I know what you should do. Spend your freaking time like Gollum looking for the ring, you looking for the cure. All I know, being young and having a disease ain't right.

Being old and having issues, is more acceptable.

Somedude and the search for a cure, reminds me of myself sometimes...i wonder if we are living in an illusion.
I remember an anonymous saying: "the day i became happy is the day i gave up". Maybe we are fighting too frigging hard..

They left out "If you'd just gain (or lose) weight, you'd feel much better."

And being old and having this disease isn't acceptable either, my friends.
