I just started using Redmond bentenoit clay orally http://www.redmondclay.com/[url] have used other clay products in the past for other conditions but I'm crediting this one (fingers crossed) with putting my UC into remission in a matter of days although granted I was at the end of a prednisone taper down from 40mg/day at the time I've taken steroids (prednisone IV and oral, hydro-cortisone oral) so much so that I pretty much know what to expect from them healing wise.
Definitely worth a try but leave a couple hour window on either side before or after taking any meds (I usually take it when I get up to go to the bathroom during the night) as it can absorb other things. It also takes forever to dissolve in water so I mix one teaspoon per cup of water a head of time (one dose for maintenance two to three tsp clay with less water during a flair) keep it in the fridge and give it a good shake before taking it.Its a bit of a pain but I'm not complaining. Don't freak out about the heavy metal warning on the jar for pregnant women and children (assuming obviously your not pregnant and its not for a child) I've looked into it and the risk is minimal.
