Just did my first Cortifoam...did I do it right?

Hi all:

So I've been in this weird cycling flare and I'm tired of it so I called the GI and got some Cortifoam. Easy Peasy...love my GI.

So just got home from the pharmacy and thought..well, might as well get this started. So I read the directions, got it all pumped up in the applicator and administered it. Um, that was way too easy. I can't even feel it. I'm sitting here for a few minutes just because I feel like I should.

So it's totally ok to not feel it? To just go on with my day?

And I was planning on doing the foam during the day and then doing my mesalamine enema nightly still...cause I want to taper off the foam back to it...assuming this foam is going to work that is...

Oh, one question though...I don't love this using the same applicator over and over...it just says wash with warm water...shouldn't I disinfect it or something? I didn't this time cause I wanted to ask you fine folks first. I just used the hottest water I could get to come out of my faucet and wrapped it up in a cloth for now. Do you disinfect??

I hate those applicators too. They are the worst and, yes, using it over and over bugs me too. I just rinse it and reuse until I open a new box. I don't like it, but what are you going to do? That's how it's packaged. For the price, you would think they could make something better.

Well...I've had it in all afternoon....feeling nothing...so different from trying to retain a Rowasa during the day!
