Faecal Calprotectin score of 919

So after all the nonsense about me having IBS and Piles, and a Fissure etc - my FC score is 919 - is this the highest score ever? I am absolutely terrified of my Colonoscopy tomorrow.

Well I have no symptoms apart from blood in stool every few days. I am petrified of there being a silent disease somewhere and me not noticing. It freaks me out that I don't have diarrhea or constipation or any pain but a FC score of 919!

I had a 35.8 a few weeks ago. I've been in a flare since early December, little blood, little mucus most of the time. Stopped bleeding about a week before the test and started again almost a week after (go figure.) So, I was surprised mine was so LOW when I had symptoms shortly before and shortly after.

I hadn't heard anything negative like a doc saying it's complete BS, that's disappointing. Fecal cal, along with CRP are the only two tests for inflammation that Qu Biologics did to determine if I was a candidate for their SSI trial. FYI the min score to be eligible is 250, and it is for folks with moderate to severe disease.

A sigmoidoscopy does not examine anything beyond the sigmoid colon. I'm really surprised ewa's GI didn't look further for inflammation given her fecal calprotectin numbers.

I have had C-Dif before so maybe and hopefully (God willing) it is that and nothing else. My Calprotectin to be at 919 with a normal colon is absolutely terrifying.

I just had my Colonoscopy and was diagnosed (again) with Unspecified patchy Colitis probably caused by an infection but probably IBD Chrohns Colitis.

This is a mild diagnosis and I wasn't even given steroid - the scope did not match the 919 score at all.

Me too, this FCP test good at indicating active Inflammation even when you feel well, but I have reservations about it giving an accurate read on the degree of disease - it is way too erratic for that in my opinion.

There are a number of different FC tests available with quite different ranges so need to be careful when comparing results with others
