Minnesota Bans Triclosan

Funny thing is I banned Triclosan from my house on the same day,but before I read the article.

I took all the bath and bodyworks foaming dispensers and cleaned them out and added a non antibacterial

 liquid soap I got a walmart, had to dilute since it was too think to pump.

This still contains synthetic detergents,perhps next time will go with castile soap.

Triclosan is also a estrogen/endocrine disruptor.

Also check your toothpaste and mouthwash.

What has this got to do with UC,not much perhaps from a DSS standpoint but messes with gut bugs.

It's a good start, but not even close to enough. There are so many phytoestrogens and endocrine disruptors in our cleaning and cosmetic supplies that triclosan is just the tip of the iceberg. It's like what they alluded to in the documentary Breast Cancer Inc - very little funding and research is going into identifying components that are causing the surge of breast cancer rates and instead, we're investing in more chemotherapeutic agents that are no more effective today than they were 40 years ago.

Dr.Martin Blaser, author of Missing Microbes, covered the use of antibacterials like triclosan and antibiotics well enough for me to not even consider going near them anymore, not unless my life is on the line. Studies show them to not provide an ounce of benefit unless we're dealing with serious infections like lyme.

We continue pulling this crap with antibiotics and antibacterials and his prediction of the antibiotic winter will come true. People who would otherwise respond to normal antibiotic use for serious infections will no longer respond to them, and we'll have a real problem on our hands (as if we already don't with antibiotic resistant superbugs now).

I don't like it one bit. I don't like how we're giving kids amoxicillin for minor issues and then a couple months later they are coming down with ulcerative colitis (see Kamaya's child). That will destroy a child's innate immunity and make them susceptible to a host of problems down the road. I hate things that continue to happen in the medical realm which are 100% preventable and causing us to suffer for no reason. As I've always said, misinformation is fatal.

Looks like they might look a little bit harder at triclosan now.

Of course on out of many disruptors.
